“Fundamentals of Financial Literacy” – the culture of personal finance management
SDG-4 On March 05, 2026, at the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU, Department of Print and Electronic Media, a tutorial session on “Fundamentals of Financial Literacy” was held for 1st-year students of the Media Communication program.
The purpose of the event was to enhance students’ financial literacy, develop a culture of effective personal finance management, and explain the importance of responsibility and proper money use in society.
During the session, topics such as budget planning, management of personal income and expenses, saving, investing, and coping with financial crises were thoroughly discussed. Real-life examples were presented to students, and discussions on relevant financial topics were organized.
The tutorial session aimed to strengthen students’ financial culture, improve their ability to make personal economic decisions, and foster proper money management skills.
