In February 2026, the traditional 8th International Poetry Contest "Tomorrow was war" was held at the Volgograd Institute of Management, organized by the Department of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication.
Students from the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management of Al- Farabi Kazakh National University participated in the contest. The "Tomorrow was war" poetry contest aimed to instill in the younger generation a sense of patriotism, love for our Fatherland, and respect for the immortal military feat of our people. Competitors had an excellent opportunity to hear unforgettable poetry.
Summing up the results of the 8th International Poetry Competition "Tomorrow Was War," the following students won prizes:
1st place – Izim Darkhan Askaruly (Musa Jalil – "Barbarism") – Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. Teacher - Balgabekova Raushan Nauryzbaevna;
2nd place – Esbolat Zhangul (Musa Jalil – “Barbarism”) - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. Teacher - Balgabekova Raushan Nauryzbaevna);
3rd place – Baltabay Ayerke (Andrey Dementyev – “The Ballad of the Mother”) - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. Teacher - Balgabekova Raushan Nauryzbaevna.
