At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an informational meeting was held to present the educational program “International Marketing,” implemented within the framework of a dual degree program with Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba (RUDNUniversity) (https://www.rudn.ru/). The event aimed to familiarize students with the specifics of the program, its academic advantages, opportunities for international study, and the professional development prospects available to its graduates.
Opening remarks were delivered by Anastasia Vladimirovna Lukina, Head of the Department of Marketing, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and Zauresh Bolatkhanovna Akhmetova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Acting Professor and Head of the Department of Business Technologies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In their speeches, they emphasized that the development of international marketing has become one of the key areas in training specialists capable of working effectively in the context of global competition, market digitalization, and the rapid expansion of international economic relations. According to them, the modern economy requires a new generation of professionals with strong knowledge of global markets, intercultural communication, and strategic marketing management.
Students showed particular interest in the presentation by Vladislava Igorevna Noga, the coordinator of the “International Marketing” program from RUDN University named after Patrice Lumumba. She presented the structure of the educational program in detail and discussed the advantages of studying in a dual degree format, including the number of state-funded places, scholarship opportunities, and possibilities for academic mobility. During the presentation, it was highlighted that the program is aimed at training specialists who can work in international companies, analytical centers, marketing agencies, and organizations engaged in the development of foreign economic activities.
Special attention was given to the practical orientation of the program. Students enrolled in the program have the opportunity to study modern tools for analyzing international markets, strategies for promoting brands in global markets, and digital marketing. They also participate in research projects and international educational initiatives.
The admission requirements for Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the specifics of the academic process, and opportunities for academic development were presented by Nursultan Beketovich Shurenov, Senior Lecturer and developer of the “International Marketing” educational program from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In his speech, he explained the requirements for applicants, the application procedure, the features of the competitive selection process, and the advantages of studying at the university, including a high level of academic training, students’ participation in scientific research, and international exchange programs.
During the meeting, students demonstrated strong interest in the program and actively asked questions regarding the curriculum, internship opportunities, participation in international projects, and future career prospects. The event became an important platform for informing students about the opportunities offered by the “International Marketing” educational program and for strengthening academic cooperation between universities.
The event was organized by Z.B. Akhmetova, Head of the Department of Business Technologies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and N.B. Shurenov, Senior Lecturer and developer of the “International Marketing” educational program from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The informational meeting became an important step in promoting international educational programs and developing academic partnership between leading universities of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.
