Third-year students of the educational program “Intelligent Control Systems” (Kazakh department) participated in the curatorial hour. The curator of the event was senior lecturer Aset Askhat.

During the event, a meaningful discussion was held with the students about the role of law in society and the rights and responsibilities of students in the educational process. Particular attention was given to students’ right to receive quality education, their active participation in the learning process, responsible completion of academic tasks, and the necessity of following the university’s internal regulations.

In addition, special attention was paid to the principles of academic integrity. Students were introduced to the main principles of academic integrity, including completing assignments independently, avoiding plagiarism, properly using academic sources, and maintaining honesty during exams and assignments. It was emphasized that academic integrity contributes to improving the quality of education and establishing a fair assessment system.

During the meeting, students discussed what plagiarism is, the different forms it can take, and the possible consequences of violating academic rules. The students shared their opinions and expressed their views on the importance of academic integrity for future professionals.

The curatorial hour was held in an interactive format. Students freely expressed their opinions and exchanged views on various situations that may arise during the educational process. This discussion helped increase students’ sense of responsibility and contributed to the development of their legal awareness.

At the end of the event, the students noted that complying with legal requirements, following the university’s internal rules, and adhering to the principles of academic integrity are important responsibilities for every student.

The main goal of this curatorial hour was to develop students’ legal culture, increase their sense of responsibility, and promote the principles of academic integrity. Such educational events contribute to strengthening students’ responsibility toward their studies and help create a fair and high-quality educational environment.
