On March 13, 2026, among the 2nd- and 3rd-year students of the Computer Engineering program, an interesting and insightful debate was held on the topic “Money – Opportunity or Responsibility?”. The event was aimed at developing students’ critical thinking, logical argumentation, and financial literacy.

The debate involved 1 leader and 4 speakers. The leader organized the event and oversaw the discussion, while the speakers systematically defended their positions. Students began by analyzing the topic, discussing the relationship between money and responsibility, as well as ways to effectively utilize personal opportunities. Arguments were based on concrete data and practical examples, making the debate both deep and meaningful.

During the event, students actively exchanged opinions, listened to diverse perspectives, and engaged in constructive dialogue. The high level of participation contributed to the development of logical thinking, reasoned speech, argumentation skills, and teamwork abilities. Students considered financial scenarios not only from a material benefit perspective but also from social and ethical viewpoints.

Key discussion points included:

·  Can money be considered a tool for expanding personal opportunities?

·  How to allocate and manage responsibility when financial resources are available?

·  How to take ethical and social factors into account when making financial decisions?

Students showed particular interest in the topic, defended their positions with evidence, and had the opportunity to receive feedback. By the end of the debate, participants gained a deeper understanding of the relationship between money and responsibility and learned to evaluate ways to combine financial planning with personal accountability.

The event was organized under the guidance of curators B.A. Maksutova and N.B. Zakariyanova, who supported students’ engagement, thinking, and interest in the topic, ensuring a high-quality discussion. With the curators’ guidance, students were able to fully participate in the debate and express their ideas clearly and systematically.

Thus, the debate allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of financial issues, assess personal responsibility, and develop effective communication and practical thinking skills. The event contributed to the intellectual growth of students and promoted the enhancement of their professional and personal decision-making abilities.
