Advisory Session for First-Year Students of the “Cultural Studies” Program

At the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an advisory session was held for first-year students of the 6B03102 – “Cultural Studies” program. The event took place at 12:00 in Auditorium 125 of the faculty.

The session was organized by the Head of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Kurmanalieva Ainur Durbelenovna, the Deputy Head of the Department for Academic and Educational Work, PhD Kaupenbayeva Samal Mukhametaliyevna, and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies Kudaibergenov Sergazy Erezhepuly.

During the session, students received important information on course registration for the next academic year, as well as guidance on academic planning. In addition, preparations for the upcoming referendum, its significance for society, and the role of youth civic engagement were discussed.

The event was conducted in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly “Quality Education” (SDG 4) and “Partnerships for the Goals” (SDG 17), aimed at enhancing students’ educational culture and fostering their social responsibility.
