The research results of Professor Meruyert Nazhipkyzy of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have been included in an international scientific publication.

On March 11, 2026, the highly updated second edition of the book “Electrospinning: Principles, Practice and Possibilities” by Professor Geoffrey Mitchell was published. The 404-page book presents the theoretical foundations, practical aspects, and modern developments of electrospinning technology.

The new edition features chapters on face masks, biopolymers, surface modification using voltage polarity, computer modelling, and membranes for separation. It also includes updated sections on structure development and medical applications.

In one of the chapters of the book, the research results of Professor Meruyert Nazhipkyzy have been used. The research was conducted during her research internship at the University of Reading (United Kingdom) in the Thomson Building, under the international Bolashak Scholarship Programme.

Professor Meruyert Nazhipkyzy expresses her sincere gratitude to the book's author, Professor Geoffrey Mitchell, for the opportunity to include her research findings in this scientific publication.
