Representative of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Participated in International Accreditation at Baku State University

PhD Zhandos T. Tauanov, Head of the Department of Chemical Physics and Materials Science at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, participated in an international accreditation visit in Baku, Azerbaijan, as a member of the IQAA international expert panel.
During the accreditation visit, the expert group conducted an external evaluation of the educational programmes “Nanomaterials Chemistry” and “Ecological Chemistry” implemented at Baku State University. The review included meetings with the university leadership, faculty members, students, alumni, and employers. The experts also evaluated the laboratory facilities, educational resources, research infrastructure, and the content of the educational programmes.
The accreditation process involved an analysis of the curricula, course content, integration of research activities into the educational process, students’ academic achievements, and the university’s quality assurance system. The expert panel assessed the compliance of the programmes with international academic standards, the organization of the learning process, and the development of research infrastructure. Such international expert missions contribute to strengthening quality assurance in higher education and fostering academic cooperation between universities.
Participation in international accreditation procedures plays an important role in improving the quality of educational programmes and aligning them with international standards.
