Dear friends and colleagues!

We invite you to participate in the

3rd International Scientific and Methodological Conference

AMANZHOLV READINGS – 2026”.

 

Date: June 2-3, 2026

Venue: Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Library (Almaty, Al-Farabi Avenue, 71/27), No. 409 conference hall.

Start of the plenary session: 10:00 a.m.

 

Purpose of the Conference

The aim of the conference is to draw attention to the issues of preserving and studying manuscripts and early printed books, their interpretation and analysis, as well as to discuss current problems in the development of Turkological scholarship.
Particular attention will be paid to the historiography of science, the study of scholars’ intellectual heritage and, above all, to the works of Doctor of Philology, Professor A. S. Amanzholov.

Main Research Areas

Turco–Slavica: the scholar’s personality in the context of issues and debates;
• Traditions of textuality and the preservation of manuscript heritage;
• Language as a carrier of historical and cultural memory;
• The library in the age of digitalisation: challenges and prospects for development.

As part of the conference, a scientific and practical seminar entitled “Amanzholov Readings: A Space for Knowledge, Dialogue, and Discovery” will be organised for doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate students.In addition, presentations of monographs and periodical publications are planned.

Scholars, educators, teachers in the field of Turkic languages and cultures, as well as specialists from libraries, archives, museums, research institutes and publishing houses are invited to participate.

Format: offline / online (via Zoom).

Working languages: Kazakh and other Turkic languages, Russian and English.

 

Participation Requirements

Following the conference, a collective monograph composed of participants’ papers is planned for publication.
Guidelines for article submission and deadlines will be communicated in a subsequent notice.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to select materials for publication in the collective monograph.
