During the decade of Nauryznama, teachers of the Department of Language and General Education training of foreigners conduct a series of educational events. On March 17, curatorial hours dedicated to Shanyrak Day were held. Curators Akhmedova A., Ignatova E., Tolmacheva D. told foreign students about the symbolic meaning of the concept of "shanyrak" for the Kazakh people. Shanyrak strengthens the walls of the yurt, light penetrates through it into the dwelling. Shanyrak also represents independence, self-reliance. About newlyweds who separated from their parents, they say: "they created their own shanyrak." Shanyrak also symbolized the heavenly dome, served as a sign of ownership, a guarantee of security and continuity of generations. Therefore, Shanyrak Day is a celebration of the unity of the whole nation, not just one family.
Foreign students are very interested in information related to the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people.
