Intellectual Quiz Event “National Heritage: Customs and Traditions”
On March 12, 2026, an intellectual Quiz event titled “National Heritage: Traditions and Customs” was held at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was dedicated to March 16 – “Culture and National Traditions Day,” established as part of the Nauryz Decade, and was organized within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 “Quality Education.”
The event was organized by first-year master’s students of the educational program 7M03206 “Library and Information Systems” under the supervision of Senior Lecturer of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, Candidate of Historical Sciences, B.S. Assanova.
Objective: To enhance knowledge of national culture and traditions, promote the spiritual heritage of the Kazakh people, and foster respect for national values.
During the event, participants answered multi-stage questions, testing their knowledge of Kazakh traditions, national cuisine, traditional clothing, customs, and historical facts. In addition, a discussion was organized where participants exchanged views and explored the importance of national values in society.
The participants of the event demonstrated high engagement, not only showcasing their knowledge but also gaining new insights into the national cultural heritage. The intellectual Quiz contributed to increasing young people’s interest in national values and expanding their cultural and educational awareness.
The intellectual event “National Heritage: Traditions and Customs,” held within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 “Quality Education,” was aimed at supporting quality education, promoting national culture, and creating conditions for the spiritual and intellectual development of youth. Thus, it contributed to the achievement of sustainable development objectives and to strengthening the cultural and educational process in society.
