Career Guidance Event “My Future Profession”

Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 “Quality Education,” on February 26. 2026, a career guidance event titled “My Future Profession” was organized by E. M. Soltanayeva, the faculty member responsible for career guidance activities at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, for 10–11 grade students of the Abai Regional Specialized School.

The main objective of the event was to explain to school graduates the importance of making a conscious choice of their future profession, to introduce them to higher education opportunities, to promote the features and advantages of the field of philology, and to provide guidance based on students’ individual abilities and interests.

During the meeting, participants were provided with comprehensive information about the university’s educational programs, the learning process, student life, and academic opportunities. In addition, students learned about common challenges and mistakes in choosing a profession and received detailed answers to their questions.

The event was held in an open dialogue format, allowing students to actively share their thoughts and plans for the future. Overall, the meeting was informative and productive, contributing to the development of a responsible attitude toward career choice and helping students make well-informed decisions.
