Youth is a strategic resource of society and a reflection of the country’s future. Therefore, creating conditions for their personal development, intellectual growth, and social activity is a priority for any state. Today, it is especially important not only to equip young people with knowledge but also to instill in them a sense of justice, responsibility, and diligence.

In this regard, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, under the direction “Decent Work and Economic Growth,” a substantive lecture on the topic “Does Income Depend on Work or Opportunity?” was held for students of groups 14-18-28.

The event was conducted in a discussion format, where participants were divided into two groups and allowed to analyze and justify their positions thoroughly. The first group emphasized the decisive role of labor, demonstrating that the key to success lies in perseverance, continuous striving for improvement, and honest work. The second group highlighted the importance of opportunity, analyzing in depth how social inequality, environment, and available resources directly affect a person’s path to success.

During the discussion, participants showed high engagement, expressing their thoughts freely and clearly. They not only exchanged opinions but also sought to understand the essence of the issue more deeply, comparing different perspectives and striving to reach a common conclusion. This, in turn, contributed to the development of their critical thinking and strengthened their civic position.

The main outcome of the event was that the participants consciously understood the close relationship between labor and opportunity in achieving success. They realized that the foundation of any achievement lies not only in favorable circumstances but also in persistence and diligent work. Such meaningful meetings promote the comprehensive development of youth, encourage their active participation in social life, and help shape them into conscious, competitive, and responsible citizens.
