On February 13, 2026, within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 “Quality Education,” an event was held focusing on the role of higher education in modern society. The event was organized by first-year PhD student in Foreign Philology, M.M. Zhemileva, under the supervision of A.K. Valyeva.

The meeting opened with a dombra performance by Samal Armankyz, highlighting the importance of integrating national traditions into the educational environment. This was followed by a discussion on the role of education as a key factor in sustainable development, social mobility, and professional growth.

Third-year students majoring in Foreign Philology (Western Languages) delivered presentations analyzing key aspects of higher education development. Serikbay Eskendir and Khamitkyzy Elnura discussed the historical development of KazNU and its contribution to the country’s scientific potential. Tolegen Zhansaya, Marat Nazira, and Samal Armankyz presented on the modern education system and digitalization processes. Tolegenova Karakat analyzed the impact of artificial intelligence on higher education. Anarbek Ardak and Alikhan Anel addressed issues of graduate employment and competitiveness.

The event concluded with a final test to reinforce the material covered. The event demonstrated a high level of student engagement and confirmed the significance of higher education as a key instrument for achieving sustainable development.
