Sustainable Development Goal 15 focuses on protecting terrestrial ecosystems, conserving forests, reducing land degradation, and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources. In this regard, the landscaping activities organized at the university are a clear example of implementing global environmental initiatives at the local level. Every tree planted today is a symbol of clean air, a favorable environment, and a caring attitude toward nature for future generations.
The landscaping work carried out near Student Dormitory No. 7 not only improved the aesthetic appearance of the university grounds, but also contributes to creating a comfortable and green space for students. The increase in green areas improves air quality and helps maintain ecological balance in the urban environment. At the same time, such events enhance students’ environmental awareness and strengthen their civic responsibility toward nature and society.
The Department of Botany and Agroecology will continue to systematically promote nature conservation, environmental education, and the values of sustainable development in the future as well. Such meaningful initiatives implemented within the university help integrate education and science while contributing to the formation of a new generation with a high level of environmental culture.
Protecting nature is a shared responsibility. In this context, the tree-planting and landscaping campaign became a vivid example of care for the environment, confidence in a greener future, and a concrete contribution to sustainable development.

In conclusion, this environmental event held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University became one of the important initiatives implemented in accordance with SDG 15.
