"Leadership in higher education: the role of social and humanitarian sciences in the context of science and digital globalization."

On February 27, 2026, 2nd–year master's student of the specialty "7M02326 - Digital Kazakh language" Ali Sh.K., lecturer Sarsenbai Zh., doctoral student-intern Shulenbayev N. K. attended the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Leadership in higher education: the role of social and humanitarian sciences in the context of science and digital globalization." Participation in the event was organized by the head of the specialty Imankulova S.M. and the teacher of the discipline "102701- Philological text analysis" Smagulova G.

This conference is organized in response to the processes of digital transformation in the field of science and education, the rapid development of artificial intelligence and changes in the global scientific space. The main purpose of the event is to determine the strategic importance of social sciences and humanities in the modern higher education system and to discuss new models of academic leadership in the digital age.

The solemn event and the opening ceremony of the conference were attended by reputable representatives of the scientific community and government agencies. During the event, Vice President Batyrshev Didar Galymovich delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Then the president of the Kazakhstan Society of Women Scientists, Tanat Tanirberdievna Ayapova, spoke, who noted the strategic importance of women's leadership and humanitarian education in science.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, addressed the conference in an online format. He outlined the priority areas of reforms and digital transformation in the higher education system. Prominent figures who have made a great contribution to the development of the scientific community, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Zakarya Kunsulu Daltonovna, the first Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, holder of the orders of "Altyn Zhuldyz" and "Otan" Mirazova Ayagul Tureevna, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Suleimenova, also delivered congratulatory speeches and shared their opinions on the role of science and education in society. Naziya Shukenovna and Gulnar Mansurovna Umarova, member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

A number of important scientific and cultural initiatives were presented during the event. In particular, the anthem of the Kazakhstan Society of Women Scientists, the badge of the Kazakhstan Society of Women Scientists, as well as the opening of the official website of the journal "Science. Woman. Society".

As part of the conference program, plenary reports were heard, and poster presentations were organized in the afternoon, where young researchers and undergraduates presented their scientific research. This format allowed for free discussion of scientific ideas, exchange of experience and strengthening academic continuity. The scientific content of the conference included strategic directions of higher education and science in the context of modern global transformation. The presented topics are interrelated and have determined a new qualitative level of the education system in the digital age.
