SDG-4: training seminar on the topic: «Inclusive Education and Equal Opportunities»
Faculty of Chemistry and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Research and Practice Center “Inclusive Environment” and the Psychological Support Service, within the framework of SDG 4: “Quality Education,” held a seminar-training titled “Inclusive Education and Equal Opportunities.”
The purpose of the seminar-training was to promote students’ personal and professional development, foster an inclusive culture, enhance understanding of diversity and equal opportunities, and develop skills to support individuals with special educational needs. Active students of the Faculty of Law participated in the event and learned about the importance of inclusion in society.
During the seminar, participants discussed the following key topics:
The essence and main principles of inclusive education;
Concepts of diversity and equal opportunities;
Ways to create an inclusive environment;
Social stereotypes and ways to overcome them;
The role of psychological support and empathy in inclusion.
The seminar continued with a practical session conducted in an interactive format, including training activities and group exercises. These tasks helped develop mutual understanding, increase tolerance, and build effective communication skills with people from diverse social groups. Participants shared their experiences and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of an inclusive environment.
During the event, participants exchanged ideas, gained new insights, and received useful information. The seminar was held in a warm and supportive atmosphere, contributing to the development of students’ social responsibility and their readiness to contribute to building an inclusive society.
At the end of the seminar, participants expressed their gratitude to the organizers and emphasized the importance of such events in fostering an inclusive culture.
