HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL SIGHTS OF KAZAKHSTAN TAMGALY-TAS!
Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, Faculty of philosophy and political science conducted the following activities within the "Cult of healthy body" project and in order to testify the new project "Cultural leisure centre T-MAGBERD":
On October 2, the students (supervisor Alikbayeva M.B.) visited one of the unique monuments of nature – Charyn canyon!
On October 9, students of the specialties "Religious studies" and "Cultural studies" (supervisors Ismagambetova Z. N., Rysbekova S., Barbasova K. M., Alikbayeva M.B., Biyazdykova K.A., Aljanova N.) visited the Tamgaly-Tas tract and met with petroglyphs, which date to the late middle ages, that is petroglyphs, images of deities, Buddhist inscriptions. Among the petroglyphs there is an image of the chariots, prayer inscriptions, scenes of ritual dances, images of the mighty camels and bulls as embodying the images of the ancient gods. The program was connected with the courses "History of Buddhism", "Primal religions," "Myth and ritual in culture", "Culture of the ancient world", "History of world culture".
