From April 17 to April 22, 2017 Week of  "Germany – German language " ("Deutschland – Deutsch") was held at the Faculty of International Relations, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the bilateral relations between Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Germany and the 5th anniversary of the Center for German Studies. The round table with the participation of the deputy director of the Goethe Institute and the head of language courses Konstanze Krüger has completed meetings with representatives of German institutes and funds, seminars, visits to the German House, German cinema views and acquaintance with the greatest creations of the musical culture of Germany.

The round table was attended by the Director of the Center for German Studies professor Mara Gubaidullina, DAAD lecturer Florian Tack, Ass. Prof. Ermek Chukubayev, Ass. Prof. Zhasira Idrisheva, Ass. Prof. Ludmila Kotieva and others. The most active participants of a quiz "Do you know Germany and German?" have received interesting souvenirs of Institute of Goethe.

Konstanze Krüger presented to participants new programs of Goethe Institute, including the info on scholarships within the framework of creative projects (acting, artistic and musical skills). The Goethe Institute has started its work in Kazakhstan in 1994. Since then the institute retains continuous close cooperation with the Faculty of International Relations Faculty. Everyone has an opportunity to receive high-quality teaching German with application of communicative methods of training and passing an examination on German standards.

Goethe Institute supports young people with scholarships and conducts European events in Kazakhstan. At institute there are the library, audio and film libraries which provide additional material to students and teachers functions. All these directions the institute of Goethe successfully develops with the Center for German Studies of KazNU named after Al-Farabi.
