Russian universities adopt experience of Kazakh colleagues
Delegations of leading universities of Russia - Tomsk Polytechnic University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Moscow Polytechnic University arrived to al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a special visit. Following the recommendations of the experts from QS international rating agency, members of delegations got acquainted with the advanced experience of KazNU, whose rapid entry into the top 250 best universities of the world is regarded today as a bright phenomenon of breakthrough development in higher education and science.
Russian scientists have studied the scientific and educational laboratories of the world's leading companies Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Konika Minolta, Fujitsu, technological park, Green Technology Center, Keremet Students Service Center and the Situational Management Center with great interest. "We are honored to be at this university today, which is the most dynamically developing university in the CIS space. No doubt, KazNU is a world-class university! I am delighted with the new developments, which are at the most advanced world level, the development of the material and technical, scientific infrastructure, the ability to find growth points. In turn, the rector of al-Farabi KazNU said that the expansion of international partnership based on the collaboration of universities is one of the strategic directions of KazNU. "The achievement of specific agreements with the leading Russian universities will allow us to jointly solve many of the issues in human resources in the interests of Russia and Kazakhstan," - said academician Galym Mutanov. By the way, an example of such cooperation with Russian universities can be called the realization of the program of double master diplomas of KazNU and TPU, the first issue of which was held this year.
Considering the great experience of two universities, the parties agreed to increase the pace of cooperation in the scientific sphere, expand the range of the master's program in the program of nuclear medicine, physical medicine, technology of space materials science. KazNU and TPU concluded an agreement on joint implementation and testing of technologies developed by scientists of al-Farabi KazNU for processing beryllium-containing raw materials. Starting September 1, 2017, the project of joint training of specialists in the physico-technical and mathematical profile of the Master's program of a double diploma between the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and al-Farabi KazNU starts. MIPT and KazNU also plan to begin training specialists for the Tien-Shan high-mountain scientific station. Agreement on the implementation of the program of double diplomas in the areas of training "Advertising and Public Relations", "Journalism", "Publishing", "Design" was achieved and with the Moscow Polytechnic University.
