AL-FARABI’S HOUSE WILL BE OPENED IN JORDA
The House of Al-Farabi will be opened in Amman (Jordan). This was agreed during a meeting of the Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Commercialization of Al-Farabi KazNU Mehmet Arslan with President of Jordan State University Abdel-Karim Al-Qudah.
Al-Farabi House will operate as a scientific, educational and cultural center of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the parties have agreed that its opening would not only bring the Universities together, but would also make a real contribution to strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Jordan. It is planned that before the end of this year this project will have been implemented.
During the visit, there were also discussed the issues of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in the sphere of science and education, including the development of academic mobility of teachers and students, the implementation of double-degree programs and joint research projects.
It should be noted that KazNU is actively working to research and popularize the creative heritage of the great thinker of the East. Twelve scientific and educational centers of Al-Farabi successfully operate at the leading Universities of Italy, China, Egypt, Bulgaria and other countries, and this year the House of Al-Farabi was opened in Turkey and India as well.
The Jordan State University is one of the oldest and leading HEI in the Arab world, which occupies a leading position in the ranking of «Top 100 Arab Universities». About 45 thousand students study there, 25 percent of which are foreigners, including 21 students from Kazakhstan.
