A Panel Section devoted to issues of sustainable development, climate change management and best practices in this area was held in the framework of the Global Summit at Al-Farabi KazNU.
Within the framework of the QS World Wide international conference and exhibition «Journey to Global Prominence: Harmony of Human Heritage and Advanced Technology» organized by KazNU together with the QS international rating agency, ways to solve many global problems were discussed and demonstrated.
Thus, representatives of foreign universities have shared their experience in the field of sustainable development and climate change management.
Moreover, in the debate, the following topics as the role of universities in building capacity for sustainable regional development, universities as agents of sustainable development changes, and the balance of obligations towards students and the environment have also been discussed. Scientists and experts from China presented an innovative model of sustainable urban planning based on associations in China.
Kwan Zhang, who arrived from Beijing Pedagogical University of China, shared information on the consequences of climate change for humanity occurring in the world. In his opinion, already today it is necessary to look for ways of a joint solution, since unity is a real step in preventing global negative changes.
