The meeting with representatives of Kyoto Technological Institute (Japan) was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
A Memorandum of Cooperation between Universities was signed four years ago, and today it is planned to develop new programs for student internships and exchanges.
During the meeting of the Japanese delegation with the Vice-Rector of KazNU for scientific and innovative activities Tlekkabul Ramazanov, a number of issues were discussed on the further development and deepening of relations in the field of Natural Sciences. The parties expressed interest in exchanging professors who could give lectures to students. Thus, Professor and Vice-Rector K. Ramazanov was given the status of a foreign supervisor.
As Professor Kazuo Takahashi highlighted, «over the past three years, three summer schools have been held, in which participated 24 students from KazNU. This is a very good indicator. In addition, two students of KazNU underwent a scientific internship in our laboratory. And we hope that our cooperation will continue to gain momentum, which will positively affect our joint work».
Today, KazNU has been closely cooperating with 29 largest universities in Japan, such as the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Waseda University, Rakuno Gakuin University, Aoyama Gakuin University, Hokkaido University, Tsukuba University, Saitama University, Tokyo University of Foreign Languages, Kanazawa University, and many others.
