PROFESSOR OF AL-FARABI KAZNU AT THE NIHON UNIVERSITY

On November 10, in the Nihon University in Tokyo hosted the annual Association conference of studying Chinese Koreans in Japan.

It was created in 2010 by professors from China who live in Japan, and later joined the Japanese scientists, journalists and students. The association publishes its own magazine. The conference brought together participants from different cities of Japan. It was devoted to an innovative topic in diaspora research and was called “The Role of Social Networks of Intra-Ethnic Communication”.

At the beginning of the conference, a lecture was held by Kim German Nikolayevich - professor, director of the Center for Korean Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the topic “New Challanges and trends in life of post-soviet Koreans”. The lecture arousal great interest and many questions were asked. The discussion continued on the sidelines of the conference. After the conference, prof. Kim G.N. received an invitation to give public lectures at other universities in Japan.
