71ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE DAY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA AND MEMORY DAY OF MAHATMA GANDI
January 30, 2020 the Faculty of Oriental Studies, KazNU Al-Farabi hosted a cultural event in honor of the 71st anniversary of the Republic of India and the spiritual leader of the Indian nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
The event was organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Oriental Studies in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of India in Kazakhstan.
As part of the event, January 30, 2020 - the Day of Remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi - was dedicated to his thoughts and sayings. Students of the Department of Indology, Faculty of Oriental Studies read the winged words of Mahatma Gandhi, sang a song in honor of Mahatma Gandhi and presented a scene from the life of the Great Soul.
The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Kazakhstan Shri Prabhat Kumar, Director of the Center for Indian Culture named after Swami Vivekananda Sanjay Garg, Director of the Center for Indian Classical Dance Almaty-Kazakhstan, Kainazarova Akmaral, teachers and students of the Department of Indology, Faculty of Oriental Studies.
