International Conference "5th ISESCO-COMSATS-INIT International Conference on Agriculture, Biotechnology and Food Security"

From November 3 to November 7, 2019, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor B.K. Zayadan participated in the international conference “5th ISESCO-COMSATS-INIT International Conference on Agriculture, Biotechnology and Food Security” which took place in Monastir, Tunisia. The main sponsor of the project was the organization COMATS. COMSATS is an organization created to strengthen South-South and North-South cooperation and to provide technical know-how for exchange.

During the conference, Professor B.K. Zayadan made a presentation in plenary on the topic: “Future biofuel from algae and cyanobacretia”. At the same time, he visited the Center for Biotechnology of Tunisia, met with the President of the University of Monastir, Professor Hedi BEL HADJ SALAN, with the Director of the Center for Biotechnology of Tunisia, Dr. Mohamed Ben Amor and the coordinator of the Arab region TYAN Dr. Jalila Ben Salah-ABBES. In addition, Professor B.K. Zayadan was in a meeting with Dr. Mohamed FARAG, a professor at the American University of Cairo. At the meeting, the future prospects of joint scientific work in the direction of modern biotechnology were discussed.

During the conference, the problems of the current state of biotechnology in the countries that are members of COMSATS were discussed, as well as the latest news used in biotechnology were exchanged.
