Antiseptic designed to combat coronavirus

Chamomile extract in addition to antiseptic properties, has a soothing, calming and reducing allergic effects. This effect becomes possible due to the content of chamomile flavonoids, organic acids, polysaccharides, as well as other useful natural components. The effectiveness of the antiseptic is confirmed by the conclusion of an accredited laboratory of the M. Aikimbaev Kazakh Scientific Center for Quarantine and Zoonotic Infections. The development of an antiseptic was made possible thanks to studies conducted under the grant financing project “Development of a technology for producing highly effective disinfectants for the prevention of infectious diseases” (the project of the MES of the RK, state registration number 0118РК00316).

To put the results into practice, the research team developed a project for the production of antiseptics, which was released in the second round of the Republican online competition "Stop - Coronavirus". The competition was organized by the Science Foundation of the MES of the RK. The project aims to create a new production facility for the production of competitive products with high domestic content.
