"Alumni day" held on the occasion of the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasir al-Farabi

Every year at the end of May in KazNU is holding as well as tradition a solemn "Alumni Day". The event organized by the senior lecturer of the Department of Pre-University Training Zh.S. Adilkhanova.

This event dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the birth of our ancestor al Farabi, who named the second teacher in the world, and the 175th anniversary of our great writer Abay. The above-mentioned event opened by welcoming speeches of the rector of our University G.M.Mutanov and the president of the Alumni Association K.A.Mamy.

The Dean of the faculty of Pre-University education Zh.E.Zhappasov, Head of the Department of Pre-University training M.S.Myrzabekov continued their congratulatory speech. They stressed the importance of the meeting.

This event, which is held in all faculties and the department of our University, is a really important event.

This significance is that every year, five, ten, fifteen etc. and so years later, graduates of this university come to the university where they studied, meet with their teachers and share their achievements, lifestyle, give instructions to young people graduating from training this year, and make charitable donatations. The graduates of the Faculty of Pre-University Education, who came to the meeting today, are also citizens who contribute to various spheres of the country.

Other graduates of the university took part, among them the director of the information portal «Qamshy kz» B. Kuanysh, Reseacher of the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art N. Elesbay, famous singer, composer U. Zhamalbek, famous art historian, playwright A. Bagdat, poets Zh. Kazhimurat, G. Asimbek and A. Akimbek.

The audience of the Faculty of Pre - University Education is extensive, composed of young people from all over the world. That is why we are one of the faculties that distributes the sphere of education and science through graduates of our University.

We have many foreign graduates who have studied Kazakh language, history and culture, from China, Mongolia, IRA, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Korea, Japan and other countries. One of them was the head if the Department of Culture and Information of the IRA our graduate of 2010 R. Hugyani.

The meeting showed videos of congratulations to graduates, slides, photos about the achievements of the faculty of Pre-University Education.

On behalf of the teachers, Professor A. K. Akkoshkarova warmly congratulated the guests. On behalf of this year's guests of the Faculty of Pre-University training, G. Kopshikbay performed Abay's song "Kozimning karasy" and J. Kumarbek expressed gratitude to the guests.

Amirkanov M. B. deputy Dean for educational, methodical and upbrining work of the Faculty of Pre-University Training summed up the results of the meeting. The ceremonial meeting ended with the song "Armandastar". Modarator J. S. Adilkhanova thanked the guestes.

The meeting of Graduates is a recognition of nostalgia and respect for the native nest where they were educated. Returning to the alma mater of the ascendant form, formed personalities show it with their real deeds in society. It is an example for the younger generation in the right choice of the path. Today's ceremonial meeting has achieved its goals.
