KAZNU TOOK PART IN THE «ISLAMIC FINANCE WEEK 2018»
KazNU took part in the «Islamic Finance Week 2018» as an advanced University for implementation and development of the Islamic finance model in the sphere of education. Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business, Dr. Rimma Sagiyeva spoke at the panel session on the Professional Development (Professional Development in Islamic Finance), where she highlighted the initiative to open an Islamic Finance Center at KazNU in collaboration with the AIFC and Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar.
The main activity of the International Center is the training of highly qualified specialists who meet the requirements of financial market in accordance with international standards. It was also announced for allocation of additional educational grants for Master’s studies by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for training on the trajectory of Islamic financing at the University. This panel session was attended by Dr. Ziyaad Mohamed, representative of the Global University of Islamic Finance INCEIF, Malaysia, and Farhan Noor, Director of Professional Development of the AAOIFI, Bahrain.
The «Islamic Finance Week 2018» is an annual platform for the exchange of international experience and building a constructive dialogue with market participants and international partners on the development and raising of financial awareness of Islamic finance in Kazakhstan and the region. The «Islamic Finance Week 2018» aims to bring together professionals in the Islamic finance industry, providing them with professional development support and opportunities.
It should be noted that, Al-Farabi KazNU is the leading University of country and it ranks 220 in the international «QS World University Ranking».
