From 6 to 7 October the Faculty of Philology and World Languages, held an international online jubilee conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Professor E.D. Suliemenova's pedagogical activity at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and her 75th birthday on the Zoom platform.
Well-known scholars from Kazakhstan, near and far abroad took part in the conference: Dan Davidson (USA), Arto Samuel Mustayuki (Finland), V.P. Sinyachkin (Russia), Krasovki Axinia (Romania), Rafael Guzman Tirado (Spain), Brunova N.V. (Russia), Korotyshev A.V. (Russia), T.V. Kortava (Russia). The congratulatory speech by the First Vice-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Professor, Doctor of Chemical Sciences M.M. Burkitbaev opened the event. Professor M.M. Burkitbayev congratulated Eleonora Duisenovna on her birthday, wishing her creative success and longevity. After the congratulatory speech of the First Vice-Rector, a well-known Russian journalist, essayist, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation on Culture, Chairman of the International Association of the Teachers of Russian Language and Literature expressed his gratitude and congratulations. Tolstoy V.I. noted and emphasized the importance of the scientific works of Professor Suleimenova in the field of Russian studies. A.A. Koropchenko, director of the Russian Cultural Center in the city of Nursultan, head of Rosstrudnichestvo, counselor of the Russian Embassy also congratulated Professor Suleimenova on her anniversary and expressed the words of gratitude and appreciation for her fruitful work in the field of Russian language and Russian literature. After the congratulatory part, the presentation of Professor E.D. Suleimenova’s books took place. During the conference, Professor E.D. Suleimenova’s students prepared a video story about scientific and pedagogical activities. The conference also hosted the presentation of a new book by Professor E. Suleimenova. After the video presentations, the conference participants presented their scientific reports and expressed their gratitude and congratulations to the hero of the day. The conference was moderated by Professor, Doctor of Philology, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dzholdasbekova B.U. and professor, doctor of philological sciences Shaimerdenova N.Zh.
