| October 9, 2020, on the occasion of Abai’s 175th anniversary, the distinguished and illustrious Kazakh poet, the Department of General Linguistics and European Languages of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Department of Foreign Philology of L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University held a republican online conference "YOUTH VIEWS OF THE ABAI KUNANBAEV’S WORLD AND LITERARY WORK". The conference was held on the online platform Cisco Webex Meetings. |

| The opening ceremony of the conference began with a documentary film dedicated to the life a Abai Kunanbaev’s work and life, made by the script, written by Doctor of Philology, Corresponding Member of Kazakh, National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the dean of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Bayan Umirbekovna Dzholdasbekova. Having watched the film, the dean of the Philological Faculty of L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University Beisenbay Ardak Bakhytovich congratulated the conference participants on t Abai Kunanbev’s 175th anniversary, the Great Kazakh poet and wished them creative success. Students, undergraduates, doctoral students, young scientists of L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the plenary session. Participants presented their reports in Kazakh, Russian and English, the main topic of which was a comprehensive analysis of Abai Kunanbaev’s literary works. |

After the plenary session the work of two sections began:
The section " Linguistics and linguodidactics problems" included the reports, which highlighted the following problems: Abai's poetry linguistic peculiarities, linguodidactical problems of teaching Abai’s poetry, the analysis of the novel "Abai’s Way", by M. Auezov, the translation peculiarities of Abai’s literary works into other languages. Besides these issues the first section touches upon other important issues of modern Kazakh linguistics |

| During the work of the section "Literature and International Communication" students conducted a detailed analysis of Abai’s literary works, thereby showing the popularization of the poet's legacy among young people. Another important moment of the conference was that young scholars recited passages from Abai’s poems, highlighting the profound philosophical poet thoughts |

Gumilev Eurasian National University made a concluding speech and thanked the conference participants for their interesting reports. Abai’s heritage is a great heritage passed down from the older generation to the modern youth and the important task of young generation is to study and popularize it. Abai’s name will always live in the memory of Kazakh people. |
