Freshmen welcomıng ceremony at the Department of Japanese Studies

On September 18, 2020, the annual event "Freshmen Welcomıng Ceremony" was held for the first year students of the Department of Japanese Studies. This event is traditionally held at the university, but this academic year, due to the pandemic, the meeting was organized in the Zoom application. The event was attended by professors, teachers and 1-4 year students of the Department of Japanese Studies. The organizers and hosts of the event were 3rd year students. 2-4 year students prepared original music and video performances and congratulatory speeches. Thus, the students of senior courses got acquainted with first-year students. The meeting took place in a very friendly and informative atmosphere. At the meeting, the freshmen had the opportunity to communicate with teachers and senior students, learn more about their future profession, and senior students shared their experience and advice. Thanks to the online meeting, the students of the department were able to meet and wish each other success in the new academic year.
