Scientific meeting dedicated to Rudaki

On 3 November 2020, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, in cooperation with the Department of Middle East and South Asia and the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Almaty in the centre of "Tajik language and culture" was held an online round table on "Rudaki – the founder of classic Tajik-Persian literature".

Abu Abdullah Rudaki is the founder of classic Tajik-Persian literature. He has a special role in Tajik-Persian classical literature.

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty PhD, Dr. Yktiyar Paltore, Consul General of Tajikistan in Almaty Bahodur Nazir, Director of the Institute of Asia and Europe at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Candidate of Philosophy Niyozi Yermakhmad Bobo, researchers and graduate students of this institute, teachers and students of the Iranian department of our faculty.

The meeting discussed Rudaki's biography and poetry, the study of his poems and their impact on literature in other countries. Researchers of the Institute of Asia and Europe of Tajikistan made interesting reports, Candidate of Philological Sciences Todjiddin Nuriddin Mardoni on "Rudaki and Arab literature", Candidate of Philological Sciences Rajabov Habibullo "Rudaki our contemporary", Candidate of Philological Sciences Mirzo Mulloahmad "Research of Rudaki in Tajikistan during the years of Independence", Candidate of Historical Sciences Vohidova Sanavbar "Study of Rudaki's works in Europe".

And from the part of our Faculty made presentations PhD Dr. B. Batyrkhan on "Rudaki and Kazakh literature", Candidate of Philological Sciences, Dr. G. Kudaibergenova "Study of Rudaki's creativity in Iran" and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Dr. G. Kambarbekova "A brief review of poems Rudaki educational character" shared information about the life and work of the poet. Master students and students from both sides also read poetry by the poet Rudaki in Persian.

The meeting was concluded by the Dean of the Faculty of the Y. Paltore expressed his gratitude and wished to continue such meetings.
