DEDICATED TO THE MASTER OF JOURNALISM – ABILFAIZ IDRISOV
Within the framework of the Conference, there was an opening ceremony of educational and production audience named after Abilfaiz Idrisov and the Stella of Booklovers’ Loyalty. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the United Kingdom, Iceland, and Ireland, former Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrisov, Rector of KazNU Galym Mutanov, members of Parliament, diplomats, famous public figures of culture, journalists, scientists, and students took part in the event.
The Conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Abilfaiz Idrisov was held in an online format. The disciples and colleagues – a member of the Senate Nurtore Zhusip, Nurtileu Imangaliuly, Laura Bagdauletkyzy (London), and many others – in their speeches have marked the great contribution of the outstanding figure in the development of journalism, the design of Kazakhstani print media. The well-known journalist and writer Bauyrzhan Zhakyp, telling about the first lessons of his teacher, recalled: «There were 50 students in our group, and we all tried to understand the secrets of newspaper design. The subject was interesting and difficult, with many unfamiliar terms that were difficult to understand. Thanks to the available material and the rigor of our teacher, the group passed the exam well. The skills we received during our studies were very useful for us in our professional career».
Abilfaiz Idrisov is the author of the novel «Tansholpan», along with eight hundred publicistic essays and articles. Under his pen were issued training and methodological manuals in such disciplines as «Essay as a genre of journalism», «The History of Kazakh journalism», «Design of printed publications» and many others.
Abilfaiz Idrisov has started his career as a literary worker in the editorial office of the Republican Childre's Newspaper «Kazakhstan Pioneers». Thanks to his talent, a few years later he became editor of this print edition. He worked for radio and national childre's youth publications and shared his many years of experience with his students, who spoke with warmth and gratitude about their mentor that day.
At the end of the Conference, a scholarship named after Abilfaiz Idrisov was established, which was solemnly announced by Erlan Idrisov, Abilfaiz Idrisov’s son.
