On May 21, 2021 G.B. Sabirova, the senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature together with students of the specialty Russian Philology held a curatorial hour dedicated to Olzhas Suleimenov’s 85th anniversary, the famous Kazakh poet, public and political figure.
The curatorial hour comprised the following topics: language and culture in the era of globalization; a person in society; topical problems of youth policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan; modern pedagogical and information technologies; green world and new technologies; O.Suleimenov’s creativity and the planetary consciousness of the youth.
At the curatorial hour, the university lecturers, young scientists and students made presentations and expressed their congratulations.
For more than 15 years, it has become a good tradition to hold cultural and sports events dedicated to the celebration of Olzhas Omarovich’s birthday, an honorary friend of the student youth of our university. But in connection with the current situation in the country, “Olzhas readings” were organized online this year. A competition for expressive reading of the poems by an outstanding poet in world languages was announced among students studying remotely. At the curatorial hour, talented students who took part in this competition read the poet’s poems.
