The maximum score for admission to the magistracy is 75 points. For admission on a paid basis, you must score 50 points.
No changes have been made to the admission format for the master's program this year. General testing for applicants consists of 3 stages: foreign language test; test to determine readiness to learn; test for the profile of a group of educational programs. 4 hours are allotted for passing the exam. An applicant who has an international certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language is exempt from comprehensive testing in a foreign language.
Acceptance of documents for doctoral studies will last until August 3. Entrance examinations for doctoral studies will be held from 4 to 20 August.
Applicants with a master's degree and work experience of at least 9 months can apply for doctoral studies. For medical specialties, persons who have completed residency training are admitted.
According to the information of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for admission to educational programs of doctoral studies, it is necessary to have a certificate confirming knowledge of a foreign language.
The maximum score for the entrance exam for doctoral studies is 100 points. Of these, an essay - 20 points, a test to determine readiness for doctoral studies - 30 points, questions of a profile exam - 50 points.
For the 2021-2022 academic year, 13,263 state grants have been allocated for the master's program, and 1,890 for the preparation of PhD.
Also, in the coming academic year, student scholarships will increase by 20%, undergraduates will receive more than 76 thousand tenge, and doctoral students - more than 172 thousand tenge.
KazNU prepares specialists in groups of educational programs at the magistracy level - 92, doctoral studies - 75. Also, the university, within the framework of the integration of science and education, together with 10 research institutes of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, successfully implements joint educational programs for the preparation of undergraduates and PhD doctoral students. To date, 147 doctoral students have been trained.
