Ranking of the best universities in the world in terms of employability of QS
QS Quacquarelli Symonds, an international analytical agency in the field of higher education, published today an annual report on the impact of university choice on the employment prospects of graduates. As a result of the conducted research, the ranking of the best universities in the world by the employability of graduates of QS 2022 was compiled – QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022 – an independent list of the best educational institutions in the world for students focused on career achievements. Three Kazakh universities are included in the final published table, which contains the 550 best higher education institutions in terms of post-graduate employment opportunities.
The ranking of the best universities in the world by the employability of graduates of QS-QS Graduate Employment Rankings is the most detailed comparative analysis of the work that universities are doing to create favorable conditions for further obtaining the desired profession. Universities are evaluated according to the criteria of partnerships with employers (including internships), the number of leaders in certain industries among graduates, the frequency of employers ' presence on campus and the level of employment of graduates, taking into account the location of the educational institution.

The leader in employment issues among Kazakh universities is the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which has risen by one range to the group of universities occupying 201-250 positions. It is noteworthy that the university ranks 55th in the world according to the indicator" Share of employed graduates", which measures the percentage of graduates who were employed full-time or part-time within 12 months after graduation, adjusted for the difference between the maximum and minimum values registered for each country. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University also ranks 120th in the world in terms of the "Reputation among Employers" indicator, which was calculated based on the results of a survey of more than 75,000 representatives of employer organizations involved in making decisions on hiring employees. Finally, the university ranks 134th in the world in terms of "Employer-Student Interaction", which is the total number of employers who have visited the university campus over the past 12 months in order to communicate with students and provide them with the necessary information. The presence of employers also increases the opportunities for students to participate in internships and research. The calculation of this indicator takes into account the number of students studying at the university.
