On November 18–19, 2021, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, with the participation of partner universities and organizations, hosts the “International Conference on Education and Research in Tourism and Hospitality dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 25th anniversary of the department.
The conference is focused on effective discussion in the context of sustainable development of a wide range of problems related to educational and research activities in the field of tourism and hospitality.
The purpose of the conference is to discuss and consolidate the opinions of scientists and practitioners on the basis of scientific discussion on topical issues of tourism and hospitality, their sustainable development, strategies for ensuring competitiveness and management of tourist destinations, experience in professional educational activities, the use of digital technologies and the development of tourism on the Great Silk Road, taking into account modern challenges and risks, including the consequences of quarantine measures in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
To participate in the conference, we invite domestic and foreign scientists, university teaching staff, practitioners in the field of tourism and hospitality, employees of state specialized organizations and institutions, representatives of non-governmental organizations and associations, PhD, Master’s and Bachelor students.
