MARCH 8 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATED IN KAZNU
A solemn event dedicated to the International Wome's Day on March 8 was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Opening the festive event, the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuymebayev in his speech emphasized the special role of women in the life of society.
“As the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, women from time immemorial have been the keepers of the family hearth and moral values. The kindest and brightest events in the fate of every person are connected with you. During the hardest trials that befell our people, women fully shared the responsibility for the fate of the people. The labor and military feats of many of our great compatriots are forever inscribed in the annals of the country's history and will remain in our grateful memory,” Zhanseit Tuymebayev said.
“Today, 1725 girls work in the teaching staff of KazNU. Of these, 324 are doctors of science, 601 candidates of science, 286 PhD doctors, 1 academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, 2 corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences work in higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. I highly appreciate your work that you invest in the development of the university,” said Zhanseit Kanseitovich.
It is worth noting that by order of the rector, in honor of the holiday, the girls and women of the university will receive a bonus of 40,000 tenge.
During the event, about 20 representatives of the fair sex were awarded the medal of the University "Eren Enbegi Ushin".
The solemn meeting continued with a concert program. The speeches organized by the men of the university were held at a high level and aroused a lot of positive emotions among those present. Songs, dances gave beautiful ladies a great mood.
At the end of the event, all women in the hall were presented with beautiful flowers on behalf of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhanseit Tuymebayev.
