Researcher of problems of innovative development

Young scientists of our university raise the status of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the eyes of the world scientific community and contribute to the implementation of research projects at the international level. We see Aziza Zhuparova, Acting Associate Professor of Economics, Higher School of Economics and Business, in this group.

He received a bachelor's degree in finance in 2009 and a master's degree in 2011 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2014, he graduated from Kara Shanyrak with a PhD in Public and Local Administration. He also received a PhD in 2015 in this area.

The problems of innovative development in the country and the formation of a science-intensive economy aroused the scientific interest of Aziza Serikovna. After all, the creation of a science-based economy was one of the priorities in the concept of Kazakhsta's entry into the top 30 most developed countries in the world. Because it requires increasing the potential of science-intensive industries. Such technologies will now be the basis for the integration of the country's technological complex and the international high-tech market. At the same time, it is a guarantee of the state's competitiveness.

Inadequate funding of the scientific infrastructure has a negative impact on the development of science-based industries. Thus, the study of effective methods and tools for financing these industries is of particular interest to young scientists.

Aziza Zhuparova studied for a doctorate in "Efficiency of innovation in Kazakhstan", TEMPUS project "QUEECA", "Development of science-intensive economy in the Republic of Kazakhstan: theory, methodology and practice", "Development of green economy in the regions of Kazakhstan: potential, trends and prospects", "Kazakhstan actively participated in the scientific work "Development and approbation of training case stages based on the study of the process of socio-economic development of innovative companies." Aziza Serikovna - since February 2018, the head of the research project "Development of effective methods of financing science-intensive industries in Kazakhstan."

He is also an active participant in scientific-theoretical and scientific-practical conferences. As a result, over the past five years, more than 20 publications have been published in the materials of national and international conferences. Prior to that, he did research internships at the International Islamic University of Malaysia and the University of Leipzig (Germany). In 2015, he studied at the University of New Delhi (India) on research and publication of scientific papers in high-ranking journals. Aziza Zhuparova also holds an IELTS certificate and has been trained in econometrics, statistical analysis and SPSS and GRETL. From this it can be seen that the young scientist, fluent in English, is constantly working on professional development. Our main goal is to create a future that can be proud not only of our natural resources, but also of our scientific wealth.

Foreign internships have intensified

We have many young scientists who make a significant contribution to the integration of international science. Bekzhan Kosalbayev is one of those people who followed in the footsteps of historical figures of Kara Shanyrak KazNU. He is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biotechnology, and a microbiologist.

The young scientist was born in 1993 in Turakty village of Akbastau rural district of Baidibek district of Turkestan region. He studied at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, majoring in "Biology" and continued his studies in master's and doctoral programs. Thus, in 2021, he received a PhD from the same university and won the award of a young scientist of the university. Today, despite the fact that Bekzhan is a new step in the path of science, he is the first and second author of articles published in four international journals in the 1st quartile on the basis of Scopus.

Currently, the young scientist is conducting intensive research in the field of obtaining hydrogen and biofertilizers based on bacteria and cyanobacteria. In the future, he aims to become a world-renowned scientist.

Bekzhan Duisenbiuly's scientific career is a world map. After all, the young scientist forms his scientific career in internships abroad. In the process of obtaining master's and doctoral degrees, the young scientist conducts research on dissertations in Russia, South Korea, Japan and China.

Experiments on microalgae

To obtain a master's degree, the young scientist in 2016 will undergo an internship at the Department of Biophysics, Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov. There, Bekzhan studies the activity of photosynthesis by recording the activity of the profession of photosynthesis with the action of heavy metals on the cells of microalgae using the device AquaPen. He also studied the changes in the nutrient medium of chlorophyll A pigment and studied the methods of recording the anomalies of photosynthesis by studying various parameters. At the end of the internship Bekzhan received a positive opinion from Professor DN Matorin of the department and strengthened his passion for science.

Ways to obtain seedlings without soil

The young scientist's internship in South Korea will take place in 2016-17 at the Laboratory of Biotechnology at Dankuk University. Here Bekzhan Kosalbayev masters the technology of growing virus-free potato seedlings in vitro. In the laboratory he works with apple, strawberry and tomato seedlings growing in a soilless environment and repeatedly participates in research in large greenhouses. At the end of the internship, Bekzhan Kosalbayev received a positive opinion from Professor San Gug, confirming that he has mastered all methods.

Methods of biohydrogen production

The young scientist's trip to the Orient was based on a doctoral internship. The visit was held in 2019 in the Tomo Laboratory of Tokyo University of Science. Its purpose is to produce biohydrogen on the basis of active strains of cyanobacteria. In this regard, the doctoral student isolated 10 cyanobacterial strains from different ecosystems of Kazakhstan, combined them with collection strains and worked to determine their ability to release H2. In addition, during the internship, the young scientist selected two active strains, determined their electron transport around FC1 and gave a detailed assessment of their pigment composition.

At the end of the visit, Bekzhan Kosalbayev, based on the results, prepared and published a manuscript in the International Journal of Hyrogen Energy, which is included in the Q1 category. At the end of the exchange, Professor Tomo Tatcuya will receive a certificate of successful completion of the internship.

Industrial synthetic biotechnology

In 2019, the young scientist will apply to the TIB Institute in Tien-Zin, China, to fulfill the necessary conditions and participate in the internship. As a result, he received a notification that he had won among 150 scientists from around the world and was sent to this course. All costs were covered by the inviting party. The training course covered the theory, practice and application of industrial synthetic biotechnology.

At the end of the internship, a memorandum of understanding was signed between KazNU and TIB on student exchange and cooperation in the context of lecturers, and Professor Zhibin Sun was awarded a certificate of completion of the course.

Energy of the future

In 2017, within the framework of EXPO-2017 in Astana on the theme "Energy of the Future", he participated in the project "Mass cultivation and monitoring of microalgae in photoreactors for biodiesel" under the leadership of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Professor Bolathan Zayadan. There he cultivated a large number of microalgae biomass.
