THE FIRST CLASSES WERE HELD ON THE DAY OF KNOWLEDGE

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has opened its doors to students. On the Day of Knowledge, well-known scientists-professors shared their experience and held leadership lectures at all faculties for 1st-year students.

“Our main goal is to provide high–quality education to young people, to train scientific personnel, to educate qualified specialists who will contribute to the prosperity of the state,” the rector emphasized.

This year, approximately 4 thousand talented young people entered the Kazakh National University with the support of state grants. Among them, about 700 recipients of "Altyn Belgi", more than 100 holders of medals of Elbasy, authors of scientific projects, winners of the Olympiad became students of KazNU. The University has accepted 8,276 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.

To date, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which achieved the status of a research university, is the only Kazakh university that has entered the Top-150 universities in the world in the QS global ranking and has been highly appreciated by both international academic experts and domestic employers.
