AL-FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY IS IN THE WUR - 2023 RATING

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is ranked 1001-1200 in the Times Higher Education (THE) WUR - 2023 world university ranking. Three Kazakhstani universities entered the world ranking, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is ranked the first place, followed by L. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (1201-1500) and Satbayev University (1501+).

THE WUR for 2023 has analyzed the activities of 1,799 universities from 104 countries. The ranking is the only global performance table that evaluates research universities via evaluating main criterions: teaching quality, research, knowledge transfer and international views.

Thirteen performance indicators are used, providing a balanced comparison and covering the opinions of students, scientists, university leaders, as well as representatives of industry and production. Performance indicators are grouped into five areas: Teaching (learning environment); Research (volume, income and reputation); Citations (research influence); International Views (staff, students and research); and Industrial Income (knowledge transfer).

KazNU is dynamically advancing in the international scientific space, which contributes to a successful transformation.
