"There is nothing more important than love - the celebration of the writer A. Nurshaikov's 100th anniversary

On November 16, 2022, on the occasion of the People's Writer, A. Nurshaikhov’s 100th anniversary the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature of the Philological Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a Round table (literary evening) dedicated to the writer. Professors, students, library staff attended the round table to learn interesting facts about their favorite writer’s life and literary work.
The Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Ph.D. Professor B.U. Dzholdasbekova, Ph.D. Professor E.D. Suleimenova, the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism N.K. Kuantaev, Ph.D. Professor S.B. Begalieva congratulated the audience on this memorable date and said many warm words about the writer.
Professor Zh.A. Nurshaikhova made the presentation about the family history of her parents, Azilkhan and Halima. Associate Professor S.A. Turbekova held a debatable conversation with her students on the topic: the novel "Mahabbat kyzyk mol zhyldar": Love yesterday and today. Kozhakhmet Prmashev, the Afghan war veteran, told a sad story how he was writing his novel: "Mahabbat kyzyk mol zhyldar" during the Afghan war. He also told the fragment from his life when he brought several bloody pages of his novel to A. Nurshaikhov after the war. Associate Professor G.A. Musayeva told about M. Auezov's book: "Abay" because the sergeant A. Nurshaikhov went through the Second World War together with this book. This book was also presented by the student, Azilkhan to the great writer and his dean, M. Auyezov. Associate Professor G.A. Musayeva made a presentation on the topic: "A word about the memory of the National Writer, A. Nurshaikhov". In her speech she mentioned about the 10-year Creative competition for the A. Nurshaikhov scholarship, which was held annually by the writer’s family in the State Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The evening ended with a photo shooting and congratulations from colleagues and students. The Dean of the Faculty of Philology and the faculty scholars presented gifts to A. Nurshaikhov's daughter and thanked her for preserving her father’s memory by organizing various contests, round tables, literary evenings.
