Al-Farabi KazNU students met the Consulate General of France in Almaty

On 10 November 2022, students of the Faculty of Philology met Mr Fabrice Neveu, the Consulate General of France in Almaty and doctor of political sciences, in the Al-Farabi Library of Al-Farabi KazNU.

Students of the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a meeting with Mr Fabrice Neveu, the Consulate General of France in Almaty and doctor of political sciences, on the topic of "Le pays de Marianne au sein de l'Université".  the Campus France specialists Elena Gavrilova and Nazerke Kalynova were present at the meeting.

The event started off with a presentation of French universities and education system in France. During the meeting the students learned about university admission requirements for international students in France, the peculiarities of the French education system and scholarship programmes.

In addition, the students had an opportunity to ask questions to Mr Neveu during Q&A session. The meeting ended with a presentation of the layout and future construction project of the university to the Consulate General of France in Almaty.

It is noteworthy that students of the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University study French as both their first and second foreign language. The meeting with the Consulate General of France was attended by students of “Foreign Philology” and “Translation Studies” specialties.
