October 29th, 2011 at the Faculty of International Relations of KazNU named after Al-Farabi the meeting was held with a career diplomat Ruben Azizyan, the professor of the Asian-Pacific Security Center in Honolulu (Hawaii). The Ambassador's hour was organized by ​​Diplomatic club "Talleyrand."

The meeting was held in an interactive format of communication. During it Mr. Azizyan dedicated students at certain instants of personal biography, including his training at IGIIR, where he received his basic diplomatic skills. Ruben Azizian is fluent in Armenian, Russian and English, as well as in a rare Sinhalese language. Interesting and informative was a story about the phased establishment of his diplomatic career. From the students of a course, where he was to learn later, came a galaxy of brilliant professionals, among which he could note the Minister of Foreign Affairs of RF- Sergey Lavrov. It was nice to hear that Mr. Ruben Azizyan likes Kazakhstan for a special flavor and visit our country with the great pleasure.

He spoke fondly of a Kassymzhomart Tokayev, saying that it is the first diplomat from Central Asia, who took over as the General Director in the United Nations’ Office at Geneva.

Then, responding to students' questions, Mr. Azizyan touched upon the problems of modern diplomatic service, personnel policy of Foreign Affairs’ departments of the United States and Western Europe.

The meeting ended with a solemn presentation to Mr. Ruben Azizyan a memorable emblem of DC "Talleyrand," and a souvenir "Baiterek", which does symbolize our country.
