On Feburary 17, the students of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with their mentors visited Gabit Musrepov Kazakh State Theatre for Youth and and Children to see the theatrical production: “White Ship” that was staged by Chingiz Aitmatov’s literary work. There were also foreign students from Turkmenistan who are majoring in “Russian language as a foreign language”.
We all know this literary work written by this great writer which tells about an adult soul (grandfather) and a seven-year-old boy living at the edge of the world against the background of picturesque nature. The myths and reality told by his grandfather are the miracles for this boy. He belives and hopes that one day his father and mother will come to him on the "Ak Kem (White Ship)".
The magnificent stage production of this fabulous story which shows the child' s reaction to happy and sad moments of our life produced a great impression on the students. The advisors of our faculty often holds such events with students because these events enrich our young people' knowledge about our culture and literature . Thanks to them our students start understanding their future mission and the role in the development of their motherland.
