Meeting the Counsul of the Russian Federation within the framework of celebrarting the International Day of Book Donation

On January 25, 2023, within the framework of the International Book Donation Day, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a meeting with the General Consul of Russia, Bobrov Evgeny Petrovich and the head of the Russian House in Almaty, Baryshnikova Tatiana Viktorovna. The event began with a welcoming speech by the Consul General of Russia, E.P. Bobrov. The Consulate of the Russian Federation in Almaty donated the best editions of fiction and scientific literature to  Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The purpose of the event is to revive the tradition of book donation, to popularize reading among the population, and to develop students' interest in books. This meeting has showed that even in the age of modern technology, the book has not lost its value.

          The Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Dzholdasbekova Bayan Umirbekovna, The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology for International Relations and Scientific and Innovative Work, Bayanbaeva Zhadyra Amangeldievna, the Head of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Tattimbetova Kuralai Omirlanovna, Professor of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Begalieva Saule Bayazovna, foreign students, undergraduates and PhD students participated in the given event.
