On February 17, 2023, the senior teacher of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory of the Faculty of Philology of Al – Farabi KazNU, Sabira Matai and the students studying in the specialty: "Two Foreign Languages" organized the educational event on the topic: « Journey to China».The main purpose of the event is to introduce students to China culture and traditions, to sparkle their interest in learning Chinese and to instill in them love to their future profession. The students made the vivid presentations about the culture, the traditions, the geography and the history of China. Two foreign students performed the national Chinese dance a dance through which it was possible to get acquianted more closely with the culture of China. The students also tolb about the Chinese calendar. They sang the songs of the Chinese people with a thousand-year history supported by the huge applauds of the audience. The Department of Turkology and Language Theory trains not only the specialists of Chinese Language but also specialists majoring in French, Turkish, German.
The students of the Department studying French language who came to support their course mates also demonstrated their creative skills at that event . They ended the event with their performance.
