KAZNU AND THE TURKIC ACADEMY SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION
Chairman of the Board -Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the President of the Turkic Academy Dr. Shahin Mustafayev. During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between KazNU and the Turkic Academy. The main purpose of the agreement is the development of partnership, joint research and training of qualified personnel.
This memorandum considers using of library funds, exchanging scientific publications, joint organization of seminars and conferences, publishing scientific and academic works.
"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is among the top-150 best universities in the world in the QS ranking. Last year, branches of KazNU were opened and started their work in Istanbul) and Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic. There is a quite rich heritage in the Turkic world, which has not yet been fully studied. In this regard, with your participation in the Al-Farabi Library, we have opened a Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies. Currently, its specialists are conducting an examination and research of rare manuscripts, ancient books and valuable data. The work on the development of the integration of science and education between the Turkic states will continue in the future," the rector of the university announced.
In turn, the President of the Turkic Academy Shahin Majid oglu noted that the memorandum will allow to achieve great results.
"I think that within the framework of the memorandum we will conduct scientific research and achieve common success. This initiative will provide great opportunity for the exchange of experience and training of personnel," Shahin Mustafayev claimed.
During the visit, the guest of honor visited the KazNU Museum, the Situational Management Center and the renovated academic buildings. The President of the Turkic Academy also got acquainted with the work of the press service of the KazNU.
