KAZNU CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR MONUMENTS AND SITES
The opening ceremony of the exhibition named after the famous artist Crym Altynbekov and the photo gallery "Kazakh Architectural Monuments" took place at the Faculty of History of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The International Day of Monuments and Historical Sites was established in 1982 by the International Commission on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). The holiday has been celebrated since 1984 in order to draw public attention to the protection and preservation of the world cultural heritage.
The lobby exhibition named after Crym Altynbekov presents his famous works. Visitors of the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with the materials of the monuments of Taksai, Urjar, Ayan, Berel, Tanbaly, etc.
The photo gallery "Kazakh Architectural Monuments" introduces both general patterns and regional features and local specifics of the traditional the development of local architecture.
The main focus of the events organized by the Faculty of History is on the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of our country. Exhibitions provide an opportunity to learn more about the diversity of the historical heritage of our Motherland and the measures that are applied to protect and preserve it.
